CVR PCA Sponsor Spotlight: Repasi Motorwerks

The September 2025 issue of The Challenge—the official magazine of the Connecticut Valley Region Porsche Club of America—features Repasi Motorwerks in their Sponsor Spotlight section beginning on page 72. Professional photographer Jonathan Haggar spent time at our facility capturing 16 stunning images that document our workspace, our team, and the remarkable cars we're privileged to service.

In just a few years, Repasi Motorwerks has become the go-to service and repair shop for high-performance Porsche GT cars, notably the Carrera GT. The foundation for this reputation began many years earlier when I honed my skills at Porsche Fairfield, becoming the expert for GT cars and handling every aspect of the service experience—from client interface and service writing to repair work, and even arranging transportation of cars to and from the facility.

Jonathan Haggar's photographs capture the essence of what we've built at Repasi Motorwerks. The images show Carrera GTs elevated on lifts receiving meticulous attention, the organized workspace where precision happens, and the team members who bring decades of combined expertise to every job. From wide shots of the facility floor to detailed close-ups of our work, the 16-image gallery tells the story of a shop built around doing things right.

In 2023, I founded Repasi Motorwerks, where we focus on low-volume, high-end Porsche service. While we service all Porsche models, we specialize in the Carrera GT, 918, Porsche GT cars, and air-cooled models. We're a small team of five passionate technicians, all of whom spent most of our careers working at Porsche dealerships, each contributing unique experience to the shop. With over a century of combined Porsche experience, we are fully equipped for any job.

The Repasi Motorwerks team: Jorge Baez brings 7 years of Porsche experience, specializing in the Carrera GT and modern cars including SUVs and electric models. Jim Reilly had a long career with Porsche that led him to opening Fairfield County Motorsport—he has extensive knowledge of classic Porsche cars including air-cooled, water-cooled, and transaxle models. Chris Grande spent several years at three different Porsche dealers and then Maserati/Alfa Romeo, specializing in classic and air-cooled cars as well as diagnostics. Alex Amaral spent years traveling with the Speedsport Tuning race team working on Clubsport and Cup cars—he handles modern 911 and GT cars, doing track setups, alignments, and performance upgrades.

Our unique approach allows for a more personal customer experience. Meeting and talking with the technician working on your car is one of the value-add tenets of the business. While the original business concept was based on the Carrera GT, that same passion and precision applies to all models in the Porsche family—half of our business consists of other models.

We service more Porsche Carrera GT cars than the rest of the country combined. My team and I have worked on nearly two-thirds of the Carrera GTs in the country including completing extensive engine service work on half. Much like the technology in those cars, the service procedures and repair practices trickle down to the higher production Porsche products. We apply the same level of precision, attention, and integrity to all Porsche models that we work on.

We focus on being honest, transparent, communicative, and most importantly putting our clients first. It's simple, but feedback from our clients has been that operating under those basic principles is becoming increasingly rare.

My goal has always been to provide our clients with dealership-level or better service with a more personal and interactive experience. While we know our clients have high expectations, we constantly strive to exceed them during every visit. While other shops focus on speed and volume, we focus on efficiency and precision.

Jonathan's photographs showcase capabilities that set us apart: touchless tire mounting, road force balancing, and in-ground alignment measurement. We use all Porsche diagnostic equipment, tooling, and literature for all services we provide. Attention to detail and cleanliness are hallmarks of the business—from the spotless floors visible in every image to the special coating we use to prevent oxidation of aluminum casings. Porsche factory tooling is used and parts are either genuine Porsche or from a Porsche OEM, stocked to allow for more timely repairs.

Being Porsche factory certified means our clients receive a level of service that meets or exceeds the standards set by Porsche themselves. For customers specifically, it means their cars are in the hands of someone who understands the engineering, follows correct procedures, and uses the right tools and techniques. Whether it's a rare GT model or a daily driver, they can trust the work is being done with long-term reliability in mind.

At Repasi Motorwerks, we've earned a reputation for servicing Porsche GT cars because that's where a lot of our individual experience lies. We service more Porsche Carrera GT cars than the rest of the country combined. With those clients come a variety of other unique and rare Porsche cars in their collections that we commonly begin to care for.

My team and I have worked on nearly two-thirds of the Carrera GTs in the country, including completing extensive engine service work on half. Much like the technology in those cars, the service procedures and repair practices trickle down to the higher-production Porsche products. We apply the same level of precision, attention, and integrity to all Porsche models that we work on.

Specialty service requires documenting the work performed, which includes photographic records and the return of worn and replaced components to the client—the same thoroughness that Jonathan captured in his documentation of our facility.

Our relationship with CVR PCA means a lot to us. We know the CVR PCA is a community of Porsche enthusiasts that are passionate, knowledgeable, and truly care about their cars—a community that values craftsmanship and preserving the Porsche legacy. We value having the opportunity to be a part of that community and working with Porsche owners who value their cars and the craftsmanship that goes into servicing them.

We're proud to be a major sponsor at CVR PCA's annual Porsches @ The Rock event at Lime Rock Park—featured in this same issue of The Challenge starting on page 26. You'll also find the Repasi team eager to engage at local car shows under our familiar red and white canopy.
