Why You Need a PPI
Avoid Costly Surprises
A $500 PPI can save you $50,000 in unexpected repairs. We've found hidden damage, pending engine failures, and undisclosed accidents that would have cost buyers dearly.
Negotiate with Confidence
Our detailed report gives you leverage to negotiate a fair price based on the car's actual condition, not the seller's claims.
Know What You're Buying
Even if everything checks out, you'll have peace of mind and a baseline for future maintenance planning.

Our Gold Meister technicians know exactly what to look for in each model—the common failures, the signs of abuse, and the red flags that indicate trouble.

Porsche PPI Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a Porsche PPI cost?
Porsche pre-purchase inspection costs vary by model complexity. Standard models (911, Boxster, Cayman, Cayenne) start at approximately $500-$800. GT cars (GT3, GT4, GT2 RS, Carrera GT, 918) typically range from $800-$1,500 due to additional inspection requirements. The cost is minimal compared to potential repair costs from buying a problem car.
What does a Porsche pre-purchase inspection include?
Our comprehensive Porsche PPI includes exterior/interior assessment, paint depth measurement, borescope cylinder inspection (for M96/M97 bore scoring), PIWIS factory diagnostic scan with full fault history, suspension/chassis inspection, brake measurement, fluid analysis, leak detection, test drive, 100+ photos, and a written report.
Do you offer PPI services outside Connecticut?
Yes! We offer on-site pre-purchase inspections nationwide. For high-value purchases like Carrera GTs, GT3 RS, or 918 Spyders, Jimmy Repasi can fly to the vehicle's location. This is especially valuable for auction purchases or when local Porsche expertise isn't available. We also serve customers in New York and New Jersey.
What is a borescope inspection and why is it important?
A borescope inspection uses a camera through spark plug holes to examine cylinder walls without engine disassembly. For M96/M97 engines (996, 997.1, Boxster, Cayman 2005-2008), this is critical for detecting bore scoring—a condition requiring $15,000-$25,000 engine rebuild. Learn more about bore scoring →
Should I get a PPI even if the seller has service records?
Absolutely. Service records only show what was done, not the current condition. We've found IMS bearing failures, bore scoring, previous accident damage, and pending issues not reflected in records. A PPI provides independent, current assessment of actual condition.
How long does a Porsche PPI take?
A thorough Porsche pre-purchase inspection takes 2-4 hours depending on model and additional tests requested. GT cars and Carrera GTs may take longer due to complexity. We provide same-day verbal findings and written report within 24 hours.
