Major Service

GT & Exotic Major Service in Stratford, CT.

When your Porsche needs more than an oil change, our major service handles the heavy work—engine-out procedures, clutches, cooling, ignition, and driveline refreshes—using fixtures, PIWIS, and documentation trusted by Carrera GT owners nationwide.

Engine-out work is routine here. We service Carrera GT, 918 Spyder, GT3, GT3 RS, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, and exotic platforms with the precision these cars demand. Every major service includes pre-kitted parts, photo documentation, and torque logs that become part of your car's permanent record.

What Major Service Covers

Some jobs require pulling the engine. Clutch replacement, cooling system overhauls, rear main seal leaks, and timing component service all fall into this category—and we handle them regularly.

  • Engine and internals: leak-down testing, compression checks, and refurbishment with race-derived tolerances and OEM specifications for Mezger, Carrera GT V10, and water-cooled flat-six platforms.
  • Cooling and ignition: radiator replacement, coolant pipe renewal, thermostat service, and ignition component refresh to prevent overheating and misfires before they cause major damage.
  • Clutch and drivetrain: clutch disc and pressure plate replacement, flywheel inspection, gearbox refresh, and driveshaft service with every component measured, photographed, and logged.

Purpose-Built for GT Work

Our Stratford facility was designed around complex Porsche projects. Engine-out stands, clean assembly procedures, and calibrated torque tooling let us work on high-value cars with confidence.

  • Engine-out fixtures and clean-room assembly processes tailored to GT and Mezger platforms.
  • Diagnostic capability that includes thermal imaging, vibration analysis, and fluid sampling to find root causes—not just symptoms.
  • Documentation that protects provenance with photos, measurements, and torque records that travel with the car.

How Major Service Works

We do not start teardown until scope, parts, and timeline are confirmed. You know exactly what will happen before wrenches turn, and you stay in the loop from drop-off to delivery.

  • Before arrival: scope defined together, parts sourced and kitted, and a clear drop-off window scheduled.
  • During service: photo updates at key stages and direct communication with the technician handling your car.
  • After completion: validation drive with data logging, followed by full documentation and a roadmap for the next service interval.
