Lime Rock Park holds a special place in American motorsport history. Since 1957, this picturesque Connecticut circuit has hosted everything from IMSA prototypes to vintage racing, its unique uphill esses and challenging corners testing drivers at the highest levels. When the Connecticut Valley Region PCA chose Lime Rock as the venue for Porsches@The Rock, they created something more than a car show—they created a pilgrimage for Porsche enthusiasts who want to experience their cars in the shadow of racing legends.

Repasi Motorwerks is honored to serve as the Main Sponsor of this annual gathering. For us, sponsoring Porsches@The Rock isn't just about visibility—it's about celebrating the community we serve. When hundreds of Porsches gather on the Midway, from pristine 356s to the latest GT3 RS, we're reminded why we do what we do. These cars represent decades of engineering excellence, and the owners who bring them here share our passion for preservation and performance.

What to Expect

Porsches@The Rock unfolds across Lime Rock Park's historic Midway, the same infield area where race teams have staged for decades of competition. The event begins with morning arrivals, as Porsches of every generation converge on the venue. The Cars and Coffee section fills with everything from air-cooled classics to water-cooled modern GT cars, creating a visual timeline of Porsche evolution.

The Porsche-themed swap meet offers opportunities to find rare parts, memorabilia, and collectibles—the kind of items that dedicated enthusiasts spend years searching for. Sponsor tents and vendor displays line the paddock area, where you can connect with specialists, learn about products and services, and engage with the broader Porsche community.

The highlight for many attendees is the Porsche Parade Laps. Pre-registered participants can drive their own Porsches on the legendary track for three laps behind a pace car. It's not a race—it's an opportunity to experience Lime Rock's famous corners, including the Uphill, West Bend, and Big Bend, from behind the wheel of your own car. Few events offer this combination of show-field socializing and actual track time.

Door prize raffles add excitement throughout the day, with prizes donated by sponsors and vendors. The atmosphere is relaxed but enthusiastic, a gathering of people who share a common appreciation for Porsche engineering and the community it creates.

Why Repasi Motorwerks Participates

Our role as Main Sponsor of Porsches@The Rock reflects our deep connection to the Connecticut Porsche community. From our facility in Stratford, we've built relationships with Porsche owners throughout New England—many of whom we see at this event year after year. Sponsoring Porsches@The Rock allows us to give back to the community that has supported our business.

But there's a practical reason too: events like this help owners connect with resources that keep their cars in excellent condition. When owners have questions about service, upgrades, or pre-purchase inspections, having specialists present creates opportunities for education and guidance. We're not just selling services—we're helping owners make informed decisions about their vehicles.

Jimmy Repasi started his career as a Porsche enthusiast before becoming a technician, and that enthusiasm hasn't diminished. Events like Porsches@The Rock remind us why these cars matter—not just as machines, but as the foundation of a community that spans generations and backgrounds.

First-Timer's Guide to Porsche Events

If you've never attended a PCA event, Porsches@The Rock is an excellent introduction. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the community genuinely enjoys meeting new enthusiasts. You don't need a rare or concours-quality Porsche to participate—everything from Boxsters to Cayennes is welcome alongside 911 GT cars and classic 356s.

Arrive early for the best parking and display positions. The show field typically fills on a first-come, first-served basis, and the choicest spots go quickly. If you're interested in the Parade Laps, pre-registration is required—check the CVR PCA website for details and registration deadlines.

Dress for the weather and bring sunscreen; the Midway offers limited shade. Comfortable walking shoes are essential, as you'll want to explore the full range of vehicles on display. Consider bringing a cooler with drinks and snacks, though food vendors are typically available.

Most importantly, come prepared to socialize. The best part of any PCA event is the conversations—learning about other owners' cars, sharing your own experiences, and connecting with people who share your passion. The Porsche community is remarkably inclusive, and longtime owners genuinely enjoy helping newcomers learn about the marque.

Highlights from Past Events

Past Porsches@The Rock gatherings have drawn remarkable collections of significant vehicles. GT2 RS examples have shared space with concours-quality 356 Speedsters; CGTs have parked alongside immaculately restored 930 Turbos. The diversity reflects Porsche's seventy-year history of building sports cars that inspire lasting devotion.

The Parade Laps consistently generate memorable moments. For many owners, driving their Porsche on a historic race track—even at moderate pace car speeds—represents a bucket-list experience. The combination of the car, the track, and the camaraderie creates memories that last long after the event ends.

Previous years have featured special displays recognizing milestone anniversaries, notable collections, and significant model introductions. The CVR PCA's attention to these details transforms Porsches@The Rock from a simple car show into a celebration of Porsche heritage and community.

Porsches@The Rock represents everything we love about the Porsche community: passion, knowledge-sharing, and genuine appreciation for these remarkable cars. Whether you're a longtime owner with multiple cars or someone who just purchased their first Boxster, this event welcomes you. As Main Sponsor, Repasi Motorwerks is proud to support a gathering that brings our community together in such a special setting. We hope to see you on the Midway.
