General Questions
What makes Repasi Motorwerks different from a dealer?
We're staffed by factory-trained Porsche Gold Meister technicians—the highest certification Porsche offers. Unlike dealers, we focus exclusively on Porsche and high-performance vehicles, giving you specialist attention without the overhead. Our technicians have decades of experience with GT platforms, including Carrera GT and 918 Spyder, that most dealer techs rarely encounter.
What certifications do your technicians have?
Our team includes five Porsche Gold Meister certified technicians, plus Porsche Classic Certified, Carrera GT Certified, Hybrid/EV Certified (including Taycan), and ASE Master L1 certified specialists. Jimmy Repasi, our founder, is among the most experienced Carrera GT technicians in North America.
Where are you located?
We're located at 1701 Stratford Ave, Stratford, CT 06615. We're conveniently accessible from I-95 and serve customers throughout Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey.
How far do you service?
Our primary service area covers approximately 75 miles from Stratford, including Fairfield County, New Haven County, Westchester County (NY), and Bergen County (NJ). We regularly see customers from throughout the Northeast, and for high-value vehicles like Carrera GT and 918, we serve clients nationwide.
What's the difference between Porsche Gold Meister and Gold Certified?
Gold Meister is Porsche's highest technician certification, requiring extensive additional training beyond Gold Certified. It represents the pinnacle of Porsche expertise. Repasi Motorwerks has five Gold Meister technicians—more than most dealers. Gold Certified is a lower tier that some independent shops advertise, but it doesn't represent the same level of training or expertise.
Should I use a Porsche dealer or independent shop?
Independent specialists like Repasi Motorwerks offer factory-trained Gold Meister technicians at competitive rates, plus expertise in collector and GT cars that dealers rarely see. Many enthusiasts prefer the personal attention, direct technician access, and specialized knowledge of independents. We use the same PIWIS diagnostic equipment as dealers and genuine OEM parts.
Why do Porsche owners from Milford and Fairfield drive to Stratford?
Porsche owners throughout Connecticut seek out Repasi Motorwerks for our Gold Meister certification (Porsche's highest), GT car expertise (Carrera GT, 918 Spyder, GT3, GT2 RS), and state-of-the-art facility. The 10-15 minute drive from Milford or Fairfield is worth it for true specialist care that goes beyond basic 911 service.
What makes Repasi different from other Connecticut Porsche shops?
Five Gold Meister technicians (Porsche's highest certification), America's leading Carrera GT specialist, 100+ years combined experience, and expertise with GT cars that most shops never see. We're not a generalist shop—we're Porsche GT specialists. Our facility features state-of-the-art Hunter alignment equipment and the same PIWIS diagnostics used by dealers.
Vehicles We Service
What vehicles do you service?
We specialize in all Porsche models from air-cooled classics to the latest 992 and Taycan. We also service other high-performance vehicles including Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Nissan GT-R, and Tesla. Our primary expertise and passion is Porsche GT platforms—GT3, GT3 RS, GT2 RS, Carrera GT, and 918 Spyder.
Do you work on air-cooled Porsches?
Absolutely. Our Porsche Classic certified technicians specialize in 356, 911 (pre-1999), 912, and 914 models. We have the expertise and tooling to properly maintain and restore these vintage machines.
Service & Parts
Do you use OEM parts?
Yes, we exclusively use genuine Porsche OEM parts for all standard repairs and maintenance. For certain performance applications, we also work with trusted aftermarket suppliers like Öhlins, Surface Transforms, and KW Suspension when customers specifically request upgrades.
What diagnostic equipment do you use?
We use PIWIS (Porsche Integrated Workshop Information System), the factory diagnostic tool used by Porsche dealers worldwide. This gives us complete access to all vehicle systems, coding capabilities, and the latest software updates.
Can you perform pre-purchase inspections (PPIs)?
Yes, PPIs are one of our specialties. We offer comprehensive inspections with PIWIS diagnostics, detailed photo documentation (often 300+ photos), and written reports. Jimmy personally performs all Carrera GT and 918 PPIs and can travel anywhere in the country for high-value vehicles.
